September 2nd  - $300 Freeroll Highlights

The field consisted of Steve R., Cindy B., JT B., Josh D., Tony S., Jose J., Rico, Jorge R., Rick G. and Mando.

The tournament began right at 3pm with each of the ten players hoping to make it to the money. First place paid $200 and 2nd place paid $100.

Tony S. went out in 10th place when he pushed all in with pocket 3’s. Jorge R. was holding pocket 10’s and Tony got no help from the board:
7-2-2-K-6

Josh D. made an excellent play to bluff Jose J. off his full house when the board came A-Q-10-10-10. Josh represented holding the fourth 10 and Jose’ mucked the winning hand making Josh chip leader by a large margin.

A few hands later, the flop came 6-7-8 and Steve R. pushed his chips all in. There were 3 callers including Rico, Rick G., and Cindy B. By the time the turn card fell, Rick and Rico were also all-in leaving Cindy B. the only live player. Steve had Rick covered but not Rico. The turn was a 9 and the river a 2.  Steve showed A-5 for a straight winning him the main pot. Rico showed pocket J’s and he took down the side pot. Cindy was holding A-K and Rick held Q-J. Rick went out in 9th place.

8th place elimination was Jose’ J. Severely short stacked due to the earlier bluff by Josh and another hard hit by Steve, Jose’ is dealt A-Q and pushes his remaining 900 into the pot. Josh calls with K-2. The board is: 2-9-10-6-2 and Josh increases his chip lead, sending Jose’ to the rail.

A few hands later Josh increases his chip lead even farther as Steve and JT both push all in. The board comes 2-8-4-9-9.  Steve was holding 10-10, JT had A-K and Josh held K-K. Steve went out 7th, JT was 6th.

The 5th player eliminated was Mando, heads up with pocket 2’s against Josh’s pocket 9’s. The board came 3-5-9-10-J leaving Mando as 5th place.

Jorge was 4th place when he went head to head against Cindy. Cindy was in the big blind and had only to call another 300 to cover Jorge’s all in bet. Both players turned over their hands before the flop showing Jorge with Q-2 of spades and Cindy 8-4 of hearts. The board came 10-4-7-8-3 and Jorge was eliminated.

Down to just three players we come to the bubble with Rico, Josh and Cindy left. Josh and Cindy both have a significant chip lead over Rico. When Rico makes his move with A-8 of diamonds, Josh calls with A-2 of spades. With only one spade on the flop, Josh’s luck continues to hold up and he hits runner-runner spades for the flush. Rico goes out in 3rd place.

At that point, Josh and Cindy choose to split the prize money right down the middle. It was an exciting tournament and we’re proud of our winners!! Well done Cindy and Josh!!

Saturday, August 4th
Another big game tonight with a full table for most of the evening. Our big winner of the night was Ryan E. Ryan only played about 20 minutes and walked away our BIG winner. He's got luck and skill on his side. Way to go Ryan!!

Friday, August 3rd
Tonight's game was huge… we had a constant flow of players joining the game and the pots were enormous. This was definitely one of the best games we've ever had. George R. made quad K's on the river for a bonus of 50 and was also runner up for the big winner tonight, but when the game broke and everyone was cashed out, the big winner was Steve R.  Steve's had two great nights in a row. Well done Steve!!

Updating because I've gotten so far behind. Business has been slow for the past couple of weeks, but on Thursday, August 2nd we had a good game. We got started right at 7pm with 6 players and filled up the table fairly early. Ricco was our big winner of the night and had to color up to keep from taking up too much room with all of his chips. Well played sir!!

Week of July 19th
We're thinking it's summertime and the Wildhorse Tournaments that have kept our players from the table. At least we're hoping so.  Thursday's game was short handed and didn't last long, but we had a great time anyway. Friday's game was packed with 10 players squeezed in around the table and a list of players waiting for a seat. Steve made quad 3's on the flop giving him an extra 100 for his stack. Our big winner was Jose J. - great playing and nice win!!!

July 5th, 6th & 7th
No game on Wednesday, but Thursday night we had a game that lasted until closing. Tony S. was the big winner of the night. There was no game on Friday either - which is the first Friday without a game since the year the club was formed. Very odd. Saturday's game was much like old times with a few new players and a lot of our old friends joining us. Again, Tony S. was the big winner. Keith was in possession of the River Rat for the majority of both nights. There wasn't a game on Sunday.

So, congratulations to Tony and rats to Keith.

Friday, June 29th and Saturday, June 30th
No game on Wednesday, Thursday night was short handed, but Dr. Tom was the big winner when he hit the bonus board for 400, making a jack high straight flush!! Friday's big winner was Tony.

Friday, June 22nd & Saturday, June 23rd
Due to the summer being our slow season, the blog will now be updated once a week unless there are bonuses to report.  We apologize if this is an inconvenience for anyone.

Both nights were great with a full table and large pots. On Friday J.T. made quad 8's for a bonus of 119 chips, putting him and Steve in a tie for the nightly big winner. Saturday night no bonuses were hit but J.T. continued with his winning streak and held onto the big winner title when the game broke. Nicely done Steve and double goes to J.T. !!

Saturday, June 16th
It looked promising when it started out, but it ended up fizzling out before it was really off the ground. We did pay another bonus tonight though, Chuck made quad 10's on the flop, adding 200 extra chips to his already large stack, making him also the big winner of the night. Well played Chuck!!

Friday, June 15th
Big game tonight with nice pots and a couple of bonuses hit too. First bonus was a queen high straight flush for Jose' J. which earned him 144 extra chips beside the very large pot he won for the hand. Two other players were in the pot along with Jose', one with a straight and one with a flush. You can't complain about that type of action when you are holding the dead nuts. The second bonus hit was quad queens, adding 200 chips to Kevin G.'s stack. The queens had a back-up amount and had been capped at 200 for quite some time. Congratulations to both players!!  Our big winner of the evening (even after considering the bonus winners) was Fred B. Fred always gets his chips in with the best of it. Nicely done Fred!!

Saturday, June 9th
Although the majority of our players are out of town, we still managed to have a game right up until we called last hand. Tonight we brought out the "River Rat" card guard to be implemented in all future games. The first person of the evening who ends up winning the hand on the river AKA, "sucking out", will be given the guard and they will keep it until someone else beats them on the river. The guard will be returned each night - just a fun way of noting player behaviors.

Our big winner of the night was Jose J. Arriving late and leaving early with a nice cash-out. Well played Jose!

Friday, June 8th
Tonight was a quick game with some very large pots. We ended the night early though and Ricco was the big winner of the night. Well done Jimmy!

Thursday, June 7th
We are back from Vegas and although it was short handed, we spread a game tonight. We'd like to thank Kevin for being available to keep the table open while we were gone. We appreciate it and we know you players do as well.  Our big winner of the night was none other than our poker diva, Cindy. As usual, she played her cards right. WTG Cindy!

Saturday, May 26th
We had a few newcomers at the game tonight as well as a table full of regulars. Plenty of large pots being pushed around and a full table makes this a fun game. Our big winner of the evening is Tony. That guy can sure get lucky!

A reminder to our players that Kevin will be running the game throughout the week that Troy & I, Annette and Ed are in Las Vegas for the WSOP. There won't be a game on Saturday evening due to the car races. We will be returning Wednesday, June 6th at our normal time. Wish us luck and have a great week!! See you soon!

Friday, May 25th
Although we got going early we were basically short handed most of the night. We ended up finishing around midnight but had played 4 handed for quite awhile before the game broke. No bonuses tonight, but our big winner was Cindy. She sure knows how to school the boys at the table. Well done Cindy!!

Thursday, May 24th
So tonight we got started right at 7:15pm and played up until midnight. We welcomed a new player to our table. Nick joined us for the first time tonight. Steve was our big winner of the night and he was also a bonus winner when he made quad 7's.  Nice going Steve!

Wednesday, May 23rd
Everyone sent a text message asking about the game, but only Jose' actually showed up to play. It's crazy how 6 people texting one after another can't find their way to the table even though there would be enough to get a game started if they'd just show up.
Needless to say, there was no game tonight.

Saturday, May 19th
Tonight was not a usual Saturday night game, but we had a full table with a list at one point. Our big winner of the night was Cindy B. The black widow strikes again!
Steve hit a bonus of 35 extra chips when he made quad 6's. Well done Steve!

Friday, May 18th
Our apologies for not updating this past week. As most of you know, we've been working day and night to get the bathrooms done at Nick's and by the time we get home from the game, we're too tired to do anything more. The good news is the bathrooms are almost finished and life will return to normal very soon. Wednesday we didn't have a game, Thursday was extremely short handed, but even so, we played until almost midnight. Tonight was a full game until after midnight and the game broke at just before 1am. Our big winner of the evening was Tavo. WTG Tavo.

Saturday, May 12th
We didn't get started until after 9pm tonight, but once we got going, the game was full through the night. It was great to welcome back Mica "Ducky" Crow to the game - one of our newest members to join prior to our big move. Our big winner of the night was Josh C.  Josh is always up for a good game and is a great player. Congratulations to Josh for his big win tonight.

Friday, May 11th
Tonight was a first in one aspect, and it is now documented. We actually had the women outnumber the men at the table. First time ever! It's always great to have women play and feel comfortable in the game. Steve hit the bonus for quad 7's but he only got an additional 13 chips out of it since Lori had hit it last week, then about an hour after Steve hit it, Dave hit the same quads, but he got a big goose egg. So sorry Dave. But not too sorry since Dave was the big winner of the night... even without the bonus paying off, he cleaned up for sure. Great cards Dave!

Thursday, May 10th
We found ourselves without a game yesterday so there was no daily update to the blog. Tonight, however, we had a full table and several players waiting.  Sometimes you just can't tell what's going to happen. The game was jamming with some extra large pots being pushed around. No bonuses were hit tonight, but Rick G. was our big winner of the night. WTG Rick!

Saturday, May 5th
Got off to a great start with a full table but ended up with the game breaking early. Tonight's big winner was Tony S. and Lori hit a bonus for making quad 7's, adding 119 chips to her stack.  Woot!

We're Baaaack.....
As of May 4th, we are playing at Nick's Italian Restaurant and Tavern - Next to Banner Bank on Hwy. 730, Umatilla. We're set up in the dining room, and our starting time is 7 pm - Wednesday through Sunday.

Friday, May 4th
After more than two weeks of no poker, we've finally gotten things in shape to open the game. We've still got much to do, but it's coming along. The game tonight started right at 7pm and was full with a list by 9pm.  Amber was the big winner tonight and she also hit a bonus with quad 3's for an additional 63 chips. Nice playing Amber!!

Here's a few pictures of tonight's opening game...

Wednesday, April 18th
It was bound to happen at some point and it did this evening. We had a very short handed game and it broke at 10:30. Wildhorse was the big winner tonight.

Sunday - the Hanford Occupy Rally Update
Just a heads up for all of you... Lori is home safely without any threat to her freedom... Thank you all for your concern.

Saturday, April 14th
It was fairly slow for a Saturday but much better than we had anticipated. J.T and Amber, Cindy, Steve and Casey were all in early. Gene and Tammy and Dr. Tom joined shortly thereafter, followed by Jose' and Tony. We had a full table for the majority of the night. Gene hit another bonus with quad 8's for an additional 200 in chips. Back to back wins for Gene!! Nice! Our big winner of the night was Casey. He's got some strange ways about him, but he does tend to get lucky. Congrats Casey.

Daily Doing's...
Friday, April 13th
Just when you least expect it to be busy we end up having a full table until after midnight. Friday the 13th wasn't such bad luck after all. At least not for most of the players. There were a lot of chips on the table and some mega-pots being shipped to winners and everyone had a great time. We had a couple of new players join us tonight and they fit right in with the group laughing and enjoying themselves. Gene and Tammy helped us get things off the ground and they hung in there like troopers throughout the entire evening. We paid out two bonuses tonight... David hit a bonus for 172 extra chips when he made quad 6's and shortly after that, Gene made quad 5's for a bonus of 200. When all was said and done, Gene was our BIG winner of the night... and I do mean BIG winner! Congrats to Gene!

Daily Doing's...
Thursday, April 12th
We were late getting started tonight but once we got going we filled up fairly quick. This weekend is the Spring Opener so we expect things might be a bit slower than normal. That's okay though, we know we'll still have  good action with plenty of players and great pots. Tonight's big winner was a newcomer to the game and he's also the son of our bartender Dana. Congratulations to Troy and welcome to the game!

Daily Doing's...
Wednesday, April 11th
Things got going around 7:30 tonight and within the hour the table was full. We had several new players join us and the more seasoned players were up to the challenge against beginners luck. At one point Cody was unconscious and couldn't miss, turning his original 20 buy-in into a stack 10X that amount. Unfortunately though, he wasn't able to keep the momentum going and he played each and every chip back into the game. Even so, he commented on how good of a time he had. Our big winner of the night was Keith. He's one of our players who can usually stay on top of the game and tonight was no exception. Well done Keith!

Daily Doing's...
Saturday, April 7th
Tonight's game got going around 7pm and we played through until midnight. There were some lulls in the night where we were short handed and we think that was due to the holiday weekend. Tavo hit quad 4's for 133 bonus chips added to his stack.  He's one of the best players at the table and this past week the board has been good to him. Congratulations Tavo!

Daily Doing's...
Friday, April 6th
We got rolling around 8pm - so a late start to the evening, but soon the table filled up. We had some large pots and plenty of action but no bonuses were taken down. Our big winner of the night was Gene. Good cards sir!

Daily Doing's...
Thursday, April 5th
Tonight's game was a bit unusual for a Thursday although we kept a full table for the majority of the night.  Tavo hit the board for a bonus of 200 when he made quad 3's and would have hit the bonus for the black royal flush but he bet out and couldn't get any callers. Annette was kind enough (or cruel enough - depending on how you look at it) to rabbit-hunt the river card and the entire table groaned. That bet cost Tavo 437 in bonus chips. He still made out fine and ended up as the 2nd biggest winner of the night. The #1 big winner tonight was Josh C. He got his money in with the best hands and it paid off for him! Well done Josh.

Daily Doing's...
Wednesday, April 4th
After all was said and done on Sunday's Free Roll, there were 5 winners who chose to do an even split. Troy added another $100 to the prize money and that enabled each of them to walk away with $125. The winners were Cindy B., Dave B., JT B., Matt L., and Fred B.  Congratulations to all of the winners!!

Tonight's game was off to an early start but ended early too. Our big winner of the night was Richard. He played some great cards tonight. Well done sir!!

We'll be back again tomorrow night and are looking forward to Annette returning as well.   Hope to see you all there!

Saturday March 31st
At 7pm we were up and running with a full table and a list of players waiting for a seat. The list remained on the board as players rotated in and out of the game up until midnight. The game broke rather suddenly when Ryan F. won a HUGE pot which busted out 4 players and making Ryan the big winner of the night. Congratulations to Ryan!

Tomorrow is the $500 Frequent Player Free Roll where 16 players will compete for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize along with bragging rights. Don't forget that players must be signed in by 2:45pm and the tournament will begin promptly at 3pm. At the time of this posting there will be 2 alternates eligible for play due to two qualified players being unable to attend. That's why it's important for players to be signed in on time to avoid losing your seat. Our regular Sunday live game will follow the tournament.
We would like to thank all of our members for their support and we wish everyone Good Luck in the competition!!

Daily Doing's...
Friday March 30th
We got started right on time and played through until closing. We were full all night with a list for several hours. Jeff B. hit a bonus for 58 extra chips with quad 2's, making him the only bonus winner of the evening. We welcomed back Gene S. and we were pleased to meet his wife Tammy who joined the game as well. Gene was our big winner of the night, playing some very nice hands and getting his chips in with the best of it. Well done Gene.

Daily Doing's...
Thursday March 29th
Tonight's game was up and going by 7:30 and full by 8pm. At one point in time we had a list of 4 players waiting for a seat. Not bad for a Thursday night. We had several big winners vying for the top spot of the evening, but when all was said and done, Tavo was victorious by a margin of only 3 chips more than Mando's winnings. Great game everyone! See you all tomorrow for more fun.

Daily Doing's...
Wednesday March 28th
We started early but left early when the game broke at around 10pm. Still had a full table up until that time though. Tonight's big winner was Jose R. I'm sure he's happy that he stopped by on his way to pick up some milk. Great fun!

Daily Doing's...
Saturday March 24th
We got the game going fairly early tonight with Fred, Dave, Benito, JT, Amber and Tom Jr. Tavo, Jose and Tony joined us shortly thereafter and the game was full. We ended up short handed but finished the entire night before the game broke. Tom Jr. was the big winner of the evening.

Daily Doing's...
Friday March 23rd
Started the game right at 7pm tonight. We had a couple of new players tonight and welcome them to the club. Cody and Brian joined us for the first time and we hope they'll be back again soon. David came all the way from Portland and brought Brian along with him. We appreciate the fact that David enjoys playing with the rest of us enough to want to bring along a friend. Cody was in fact our big winner for the night. Well done Cody!

Daily Doing's...
Thursday March 22nd
The game got going around 7:40 and although it ended before closing time, we had a full game up until it broke. The big winner for the night was Troy. Time for someone else to step up and take the title from him!

Wednesday March 21st
Sincere apologies to all for the posting of Saturday's update not showing. The computer froze up and it was ASSuME'd the update had completed. Now I don't even remember what was posted other than Amber's HUGE win!
Tonight we were dealing by 7:05 with a short handed game, but still a good time. No bonuses were paid out and Troy was the big winner of the evening.  We're looking forward to some changes coming up soon and you all will be the first to know as soon as they are locked in. Stay tuned!

Daily Doing's...
Friday March 16th
Tonight's game got going about 7:30 with five players. By 8:15 we had a list of 5 waiting to play. We had some HUGE pots, BIG wins and everyone had a wonderful time. Our biggest winner of the night was Carlos...

Thursday March 15th
If you're wondering why there was not update for yesterday it's because there was no game. We still don't quite know why, but tonight's game made up for it. We were a bit late getting started, but once we got going, the table filled up rather quickly and we had a waiting list. Our big winner tonight was Shawn who struggled back from some bad beats and ended up with a nice cash out. WTG Shawn!

Daily Doing's...
Saturday March 9th
We got started right at 7 tonight and within a half an hour we were full with a list. We almost started another table but had a couple of players bust out sooner than they planned. All in all it was a great night. Big winner of the evening was Benito.

We had 3 bonuses hit, Matt L. made a Queen high straight flush for 266, Shawn G. made quad 2's for 48 and Josh D. made quad 9's for 166 !  The big winner of the night was Matt. Good going everyone!!

Saturday March 3rd
Only Amber was able to send the entire table of guys back to school for a lesson in Poker 101 !! She really showed them how it gets done! Kickin' some serious butt and one of the best big winners on record! Making the women proud!

Also tonight we had two bonus board winners! We welcomed David B. back to the game after a couple of months he'd been MIA, and within the first few hands of play, he hit quad 7's for a bonus of 148, it's good to be home eh David? Our other bonus winner was Mike who was dealt pocket K's and two more hit the board adding an additional 148 chips to his stack as well.

There were two full tables tonight and everyone there were racking up the hours towards the $500 Free Roll on April 1st. There's still plenty of time to earn a seat, but you'd better hurry... the 16 that are on top aren't going to want to give up easily!!

Friday March 2nd
Oh what a night we had tonight! We thought J.T. had a great night last night, but he really kicked some poker into high gear in tonight's game. Incredible playing and one hell of a nice cash out!!

Only one month to go before the Frequent Player Free Roll and we've got many players vying for one of the 16 available seats ! Tonight's game was the opposite of last night's with the exception of what time we got started. But, by 9:30 we had a list waiting to play. The big winner of the night was J.T. - he's definitely one of our more patient players, waiting for the best hands to get his money in there. WTG J.T. !

Saturday Feb. 25th
We got going early tonight and finished up right at closing. We had several new players join our group and everyone had a wonderful time. Tonight's big winner was Matthew although he was funding his daughter Megan and his wife Deeanna, he still was able to cash out way ahead of the game. WTG Matthew!!

Friday Feb. 24th
Well, this wasn't much of a Friday night and nothing like what we're used to for sure. We still had a game that started about 7pm and went until close.  Chris C. was the big winner of the night - for the majority of the game he couldn't miss hitting his hand. It was insane but profitable! WTG Chris!

Daily Doing's...
Thursday Feb. 23rd
Tonight's game was much like what a Wednesday should be, somehow the game seemed to get it's day's mixed up. Compared to last night's game, tonight was laid back and much more enjoyable at a slower pace. Unfortunately though the monster pots were absent also, but we all had a great time. Mando was the big winner of the evening and due to some of his outlandish plays, he will henceforth be know by all as MonQueenie… please make a note of it.

Wednesday Feb. 22nd
This was an incredible Wednesday night with a full table and HUGE pots! We got started at 7 and rode the wave right through until closing time. We welcomed two new members to the club also. Our big winner of the night was Matthew who was not only raking in the pots, but also hit a bonus for making quad 2's and added 120 extra chips to his stack! Congratulations Matthew!

Sunday Feb. 19th
Even though it was Sunday which is normally a fairly slow night the game was big and bold with a full table right up until closing time. Mando had the midas touch tonight. That guy should have bought a lottery ticket before all that good mojo wears off ! Nice job stacking 5X what you started with Mando !

Ever had one of those nights where everything you touch just turns to gold? No? Me neither. But JT sure did ! Tonight we got off to an early start and  within the first 3 hours of play, JT had won 4X his buy-in PLUS hit 2 - that's right TWO bonuses for 112 each!  First he hit quad J's, then not even an hour later, he made quad 4's ! The pots on both of the hands were HUGE since he had other players betting and raising with full houses, flushes and straights - he played it smooth and raked in some serious dough ! Fantastic night for J.T. !

Daily Doing's...
Friday Feb. 17th
Tonight was the third full night of hour logging for the April 1st Frequent Player Free Roll and we had several players vying for one of the 16 available seats. Shawn G. was a lucky bonus winner with an 8 high straight flush adding 47 chips to his stack. Steve R. had taken down the same bonus just recently which reduced the bonus significantly, but Shawn was pleased to have the extra chips. Our big winner of the night was Tony D., an excellent feat since he joined the game just an hour and a half prior to closing. A big pat on the back to both Shawn and Tony!

Saturday Feb. 4th
WOW WOW WOW… What an exciting night!!
Our Main Event began right at 3pm with a field of 6 players. They were each given 10,000 in tournament chips and the game got underway. The competition was tough, everyone playing tight through the first few levels. As the blinds began to increase and the ante came into play, J.T. was short stacked called a small raise in late position with Qc, 10h. The flop came Ah, Qd, 7d.  Mando was holding pocket 4's and he lead out with a small information bet.  J.T. pushed all in having only Steve behind him yet to act. Steve called the bet and everyone else folded, including Mando. The turn brought the Qh, and the river was 4c.  J.T. thought his trip Queens were good until Steve rolled over his hand showing As, Qs, having made a full house on the turn. Mando was grateful for J.T.'s push since he would have stayed in if there wasn't any raise and would have filled up on the river. He said he would likely have pushed all in and Steve would have taken them both out with his full house.

The next player out was Fred. He was dealt pocket Q's and bet all-in pre-flop, hoping to take it down with the big raise, but Cindy called with A,K spades. The board came 4, 4, 3, 6, K and Cindy won the pot.

Steve went out when he pushed all in with pocket 10's and Mando called with A,J. The board came J,8,3,2,Q.

Cindy was in the big blind and holding 8,2 when the flop came 3,8,3. She bet half her stack and Mando called. The turn was a 2, giving her two pair and she pushed the remainder of her chips in. Mando once again made the call. The river was a Q and when Mando showed his hand, he was holding K,3, having made trips on the flop.

Down to two players now, Shawn had about ¼ the amount of chips Mando had so when he was dealt A, 9, he pushed all in. Mando called with J, 10. The board came 10, 2, K, 6, 4 and Mando was the winner.

The tournament was set up as a winner take all for the entire $5000, however, the players had all agreed to a split, so after we paid him, Mando was happy to divy up the cash - $600 to J.T., Fred, and Steve, $800 to Cindy and Shawn and keeping $1600 as his reward. All in all it was great fun and everyone walked away winners!!

The game was a real go-getter right from the start. When we first got going we had the pleasure of welcoming back Tom G. - a player whose always a lot of fun and we enjoy having at the table. Tom had invited a couple of his friends to the game and they joined us shortly afterward. Welcome to the club Connor and Joe! We hope you had a good time and will come back again. We also had another new player join us from the Tri-City area, Darryl. Although it's his first time at our table, he knew his way around and he obviously knew the game quite well. We sure enjoyed his company and his sense of humor. We were glad to see Amber come in after coaching her girls basketball practice - she's been missed since the season got into full swing and she's busy with the girls.
Steve was a lucky bonus winner when he made quad 6's for 83 added chips to his stack. J.T. was the big winner of the night. Well done guys and congratulations.

The Main Event is Saturday at 3pm. Even if you don't participate, it's going to be an exciting competition to watch!! Join us!

We don't usually do updates on Sunday's, but this was an unusually remarkable day. We had two new qualifiers gain entry into the Shoot Out Series, two players hit bonuses and a game that lasted from 4pm until almost 1am. Our new qualifiers are J.T and Shawn - both of them are regular players at the table and both are quite capable of walking away with the prize. Good luck to both of them!!! Our bonus winners tonight were Amber and Steve, both hitting quads for 161. Congratulations to them and to Amber for being the big winner of the night!! Great game everyone!

When we got started tonight we thought the big winner of the evening was going to be Steve. He won the 7 out of the 8 first hands, coming close to hitting the bonus for the black Royal Flush twice. But, as usual, Steve's luck didn't hold out all night and he relinquished the lead position to Keith B., so WTG Keith!  However, I forgot to mention that Steve hit the 7 high Straight Flush last night for a bonus of 150!!  So congrats guys!!

The bonus board is back in full play with the prizes being redistributed and available as of yesterday. There are other plans in the works regarding special promotions which will begin after the Shoot Out Series is finished. Things got off to an early start tonight even though the weather wasn't cooperative at all. We played with a full table and a list for the majority of the evening including several of our existing members and we welcomed 6 new members to the club. Tonight's big winner was Shawn! He played a solid game, waiting for good hands before getting his chips into the mix. Close behind Shawn was Tom, new to the club tonight, but obviously not new to the game. Great cards guys!!

The weather was the big winner tonight. The ice and snow kept most of our players at home but we managed to get a short handed game going anyway. You know how some of those hard-core players are. It takes more than freezing cold to keep them away from the game.  We're going to be back at it tomorrow night and will be looking for you! Hope to see you there - and if you decide to venture out into this winter weather, please be cautious and drive safe!!

Apologies to all of our readers for the lapse in posting. This was unavoidable and hopefully won't be repeated in the future. We've had a game every night with a steady flow of both existing members and new members joining frequently. The week held several highlights that deserve mentioning. Top winners have been Fred B., Josh D., J.T., Dr. Tom, David R. and Amber B.  Excellent job and congrats to all of you!!

On the 8th we held our Super Satellite at 3pm and one seat to the Main Event was won by Cindy B. !! The Black Widow strikes again!!! Cindy has secured her seat and will join the rest of the qualified players on February 4th for a chance at $5000.

Time is running out for players to qualify so don't miss the next two Sunday tournaments and locking in your seat!!! Start time is 3pm - buy in is $60. See you there!!!

Probably the latest we've ever gotten started on a weekend, but once we were going, we kept a full table all night. The big winner for the evening was Josh who kept going in spurts of unconsciousness where he just couldn't lose no matter what he was holding. Sometimes it's just crazy like that and Josh sure did enjoy the windfall!! Congrats Josh!  Fred was right in there making a run at it and maybe with a little more time he could have caught up to Josh, but he'll have to settle for honorable mention tonight.

Tomorrow is our first Super Satellite of the month so don't forget to be there by 3pm and bring your "A" game. The competition will be battling for a seat in the 5K Winner Take All Main Event ... who wouldn't want to win that? $60 buys you into the Satellite!! Don't be late!

Pretty quiet for a Friday, but we had a game none the less. The majority of the evening we had the entire establishment to ourselves and we're okay with that. We had a few big pots and a few REALLY big pots, but for the most part, it was a good solid game. Logan and Joe stopped in as well as Rico and Jose' - glad to see them back in action. Tonight's big winner was Steve D. - and we were happy for him!! Steve has been in a rut lately and tonight's big win was just the boost he needed to get him back on track. WTG Steve!!

So the race is on to see who is going to be the 3 top hour tracking players. Those lucky players are going to automatically qualify for their seat in the upcoming $5000 Winner Take All Shoot Out Series Tournament on February 4th, 2012!!   So far, the top three are Steve D., Fred B., and Mando G., but J.T. is sneaking up on Mando quickly and he's not the only one! Players can see their tracked hours posted and updated daily in the poker room.

We had a great game tonight with several of our regular players as well as a few who aren't able to join us as often. We all had a great time and got going right on time playing through until the very last moment. We welcome back Josh A. who is in town temporarily and tonight was his third time back to play. He's just learning the game but has no difficulties raking in some nice pots - plus, he's got one heck of a self deprecating sense of humor ! He had us all laughing and we had a lot of fun. Troy L. hit quad 7's for a bonus of 85, WTG Troy. Our big winner this evening was Shawn. Congrats Shawn & well played!!!

Reminder to players that the first of the Super Satellite Sunday tournaments will be held this Sunday, the 8th at 3pm.

What's happeningthis week?
We didn't get enough players tonight for a live game, so instead we spent a couple of hours going over the rules and the format of the game. Lately we've had customers ask us about playing and making comments about how they'd never learned how to play Hold Em. So, we've decided that during our "down time" we would offer some assistance to individuals who would be players if they felt more comfortable at the table. It's never a bad thing to increase the player base, and we want everyone to feel welcome when they take their seat.
